Live from my windowsill most summer weekdays. The ones with the purple patches on the neck are male calliopes. The ones with orange patches on their necks are male rufous. The females are harder to tell apart. The calliopes tend to be small, slender and more emerald green, while the rufous are slightly larger, more rounded and have more of a buff color on the sides.
Mmmm, sugar water.
